Relaunch - make whatever nobody wants
I originally thought about starting this blog back when the pandemic hit. My intention was to uplift people as they navigated life in Japan during these challenging times. Unfortunately, many were going through various hardships and struggles.
Fast forward, it's been three or four years now, and time has flown by without me really noticing. I suddenly realized I had this blog, and it got me thinking about its purpose. Did I want to assist expatriates living in Japan, or was I just jotting down my own thoughts?
I'm leaning towards the latter option, just writing about things that may not interest everyone – much like this blog I came across (https://zhangluyao.com/blog/make-something-nobody-wants/). Nowadays, living in Japan, I've come to appreciate that people here generally don't pay much attention to what you do unless they find mutual interests. So, the question arises: is it necessary to share it with others?
Well, the answer could be "yes." Just look at the creators on platforms like YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, 小红书, or 抖音 – they become famous and even make money from it.
On the other hand, it could be "no." Maybe it's just a hobby, a way to satisfy oneself. If I can make it a "yes," that would be great – who doesn't need extra income? But "no" is also a tempting option.
Yesterday, while I was browsing the internet, I stumbled upon a blog by a Japanese blogger who's in their 50s and has a 16+ year-old dog. Their lifestyle is something I find appealing right now, and it resonates with my own in certain aspects. So, I'm contemplating giving this blog another shot and documenting everything here for nobody in particular. Let's relaunch this blog!
